OddSkills: support
How to reach us about OddSkills, what the free guide includes, and how OddSkills Complete works.
OddSkills is a pocket field guide to deliberately useless expertise: 84 finite collections — Morse, semaphore, maritime flags, world flags, the Greek and Cyrillic and Arabic and Hebrew scripts, Roman numerals, the periodic table, constellations, minerals, clouds, the genetic code, dinosaurs, Roman emperors, aircraft, art history, bird calls, the IPA, Braille, ASL fingerspelling, alchemical symbols and more. Every collection is a closed set, so it can actually be finished.
Getting help
Write to the address above with your device, your iOS or Android version, and what happened. Screenshots help. If a fact in a collection looks wrong, tell us which collection and which entry — we correct the data and ship it to everyone.
What is free
- Five collections are free forever and never counted: Morse Code, World Flags, Country Shapes, Roman Emperors and the Greek Alphabet. Practise them as often as you like.
- Every other collection can be read and learned for free. Reference and Learn are never metered.
- Practice on the other collections is limited to one session a day. Watching a short video adds one more session for that day.
- Free practice sessions are ten questions long.
OddSkills Complete
One payment. It opens all 84 collections with no daily limit, allows twenty- and forty-question sessions, and removes the advertising permanently. There is no subscription, no account and nothing to cancel.
Restoring a purchase. Settings → OddSkills Complete → Restore a purchase. The purchase is tied to the App Store or Google Play account that made it, so signing in with that account on a new device and tapping Restore is all that is needed. If Restore does not find it, write to us with the store receipt and we will sort it out.
Refunds are handled by Apple and Google, not by us. On iOS use reportaproblem.apple.com; on Android, Google Play → Order history.
Your progress
Pins, recently opened collections and your last hundred completed sessions are stored on your device only. There is no account and no server, which also means progress does not move between devices and is lost if you delete the app. We are aware this is a trade-off; it is the one we chose.
Where the content comes from
Every collection is sourced and credited in the app under Sources & licenses: Natural Earth for the geographic data, IUCN assessments for species, Wikimedia Commons authors and licences on each photograph and recording, and the published references named on each collection’s own page.
